In my capstone project, titled "Smart Hands Tool User Research Study Design," I have embarked on a comprehensive exploration of smart hand tools and their implications for skilled trade workers, focusing on labor rights and worker advocacy. The project aimed to contribute valuable insights into the design and utilization of smart tools in the workforce, underscoring the importance of aligning technological advancements with the needs and rights of workers.

Researchers at The University of Texas at Austin are studying AI, specifically how AI can be used ethically to support and empower workers. We are interested in better understanding workers’ views on AI and how AI is currently being used in skilled trade work.
